Deutsche Sektion von AIDA / AIDA Europe

Der DVfVW ist Mitglied von der Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances /International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA) und bildet ihre deutsche Sektion.
AIDA wurde 1960 mit dem Ziel gegründet, auf internationaler Ebene die wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit internationalem und ausländischem nationalen Versicherungsrecht zu fördern,

den internationalen wissenschaftlichen Gedankenaustausch zu stärken und die Kenntnisse über die internationale und ausländische Rechtsentwicklung des Versicherungsrechts zu erhöhen.

Call for Papers in conjunction with the 8th AIDA Europe Conference in Lisbon, 3&4 October 2019

We would like to point you to an invitation for the Call for Papers in conjunction with the 8th AIDA Europe Conference in Lisbon on 3&4 October 2019. The Call for Papers focusses on the various aspects of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), including those at the intersection of the Insurance Distribution Directive with other EU Directives/Regulation,

International Principles and standards, or other subjects and areas of law (e.g. risk management, actuarial, economics, accounting, sociology, real estate, criminal law, etc.). Please refer to the Attachment for further details.

The opportunity for filing papers is open to academics and professionals likewise.

The selected papers from this Call will be edited in the  AIDA Europe Research Series on Insurance Law and Regulation.

The 8th AIDA Europe Conference titled „Landfall of the Tech Storm“ – How Technology is changing client interaction – Legal issues in distribution, claims and insurance services & other key developments in insurance and reinsurance will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 3 & 4 October 2019.

The conference theme „Landfall of the Tech Storm“ focuses on the impact of technology upon the insurance industry and the changing client interaction, discussing the legal issues in distribution, claims and insurance services which technology is bringing. A special focus of the conference will also be issues related to insurance distribution (incl. the new EU Insurance Distribution Directive 2018. This has been the subject of an AIDA Europe Call for Papers, the results of which will also be featuring in the up-coming conference.

Further relevant topics for the Lisbon Conference include Artificial Intelligence in insurance business; Autonomous vehicles and the EU law where the particular AIDA Working Party covering this topic has entered into a cooperation with ASTIN (the International Actuarial Association); Issues on the international insurance programs, including Brexit and Hot-topics on the legal and regulatory front, currently facing the industry.

Furthermore, a number of AIDA Working Parties have announced their presence in Lisbon addressing conference matching but also non-matching topics.

The conference will also follow the developments since the last AIDA Europe Conference in Warsaw and look at the developments on matters debated in Warsaw, notably the InsurTech related developments and a progress review on the project of Principles of Reinsurance Contract Law (PRICL) .

Jahrestagung 2020

Im Fokus unserer Jahrestagung stehen am Mittwoch die Themen „Nachhaltigkeit“ und „Künstliche Intelligenz“. Es diskutieren u.a. Prof. Dr. Torsten Oletzky, Dr. Thomas Deckers, Prof. Dr. Christian Armbrüster sowie Prof. Dr. Michael Quante, Gabriele Recke und Prof. Dr. Heinz-Dietrich Steinmeyer. Am zweiten Tag werden weitere aktuelle Fragestellungen auf dem Versicherungsrechtstag sowie in medizinischen, ökonomischen und mathematischen Foren diskutiert. Eine Anmeldung zur Tagung wird ab Dezember 2019 möglich sein.
